, the Gewuerzinsel
For two days we are known on the island of Grenada, also known as the Gewuerzinsel. In just under six hours we sailed by the Union of Iceland about 40 miles here. We are here for two months for the first time back in port and enjoy luxury like fresh water shower, washing machine and co. Yesterday, Herman, whom we met in the city, has taken on a tour around the island, waterfalls, rain forest and Gewuerzplantagen and a bit of history / culture were on the program. First, we are always uphill to the first waterfall and Herman us left and right of Away again abgepflueckt any branches, roots and flowers and explains us - nutmeg, saffron, cocoa, coffee, cinnamon, sugar, ginger, mint, lemon grass, and many other plants, everything grows here wild confusion between banana and coconut palms, breadfruit and Papayabaeumen. Then we went into the rain forest and then to Fort Patrick and Fort George, which come from the British colonial period. A successful trip. It is still fashionable work, stainless steel polish (in this climate is all rusted, also stainless steel), shop wash supplies, and of course write blog. And so, against two of our clock time (five hour time difference) we want to put in order Charlotteville in Tobago. Until there there are about 90 nautical miles, but against the wind and currents, so we have taken into account for this trip a little more time. Sometime tomorrow we will get there. Our exit stamp in the passport, we go already, now it can.
greet warmly the four of the Ivalu M + J + B + L
